OM NOM NOM! Garlic bread is amazing and so is this recipe. Prepare for the best side dish ever.
Level 1: A standard side dish to learn
Servings: About 5-6
Ingredients:
A baguette. You'll look really awesome buying it and it won't fit in any bag. But it's delicious. I like french ones, try to get the fat ones, not like the one pictured. They are usually called "italian." See my Carraba's Champagne Chicken recipe for a picture of the bread ( cut up)
1/2 stick butter, margarine, fake butter whatever you like
parm cheese
6 cloves of garlic depending on your love, minced
fresh parsley, fresh actually makes a difference
1. Preheat oven to 475. I usually make this at the end of a recipe since I can use the heat of the oven from cooking chicken or whatever. Melt the butter in the microwave. Cut baguette in half horizontally and cut into pieces. Pour melted butter over bread. Add the garlic, sprinkle cheese and parsley evenly over bread.
2. Place directly on oven rack. Check at 4 min to see progress. Should be golden brown along the edges. You should also begin to smell the garlic as it approaches being done. Ten seconds too long and your bread will be burnt, so be vigilant!
