Level 1: Only garlic to chop, yet still so much flavor
Servings: about 3
Ingredients:
1 or 2 lbs bonless, skinless chicken breasts, depending on your bravery
1-2 TBSP EVOO
2 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (If you like more, add by the pinch
1/4 cup apple juice
1/3 cup light brown sugar
2 TBSP ketchup
1 TBSP Apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup water
1 TBSP Apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup water
1/3 cup soy sauce (I use low sodium one)
1/4 cup bourbon, I used makers mark

1. Heat skillet to medium. Add all the remaining ingredients, the 4 liquids first ( water, apple juice, soy sauce,and apple cider vinegar). While heating, cut raw chicken into bite size pieces. Heat liquid and spice mixture until ingredients are well mixed and dissolved.
2. Add chicken to skillet and bring to a hard boil.
3. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes!
4. Pairs well with a beer or milk, anything to help the spices subside for the shy ones!
